"A drug divine "
"A drug divine " a line from the song "Call of the Cappuccino" written and performed by Dermot Dorgan 1999.The songs of an arm chair activist . based in Brisbane Qld Australia
"Some get high on ectasy and some get high on crack Some take trips on herion and some of them don't come back And some get their kicks from alcohol, from whisky and from vino But I get mine from a drug divine-It's called the cappuccino. Some may dream of writing the book thats win's them the Nobel Prize. Some may dream of enlightment and the secret that makes them wise And many a farmer dreams the dream of superfine merino But I have a simpler dream that that- a well-made cappuccino
Cos I'm a cappuccino junkie, I have to have a hit each day. I'd shoot it up with a sharp syringe, But you can't feel the froth on your lips that way "

The continuous search of the god shot and why do people desire the coffee hit? The shot of espresso 25mls +5/-5 extracted in around 25 seconds . Attacks the tongue and olefactory giving its owner either a exciting sensual trip of flavours and taste sensations or that immediate repulsive spit and a contourted "why did i bother" face. Why do people line up for their hit of caffiene. The desire to meet their body's call for another hit of coffee,it is a strong driver. The coffee house/ cafe has taken on the role of the pub in Australia's cities, as the gathering places. This started to evolve in 1990s. The RBT laws that were empowered earlier in NSW had started to take effect. The hotels relised that to survive they needed to review their income streams. So a push to have gambling areas as part of the operation started .
